Maintenance Planner

Are you a proactive planner with a knack for organising short and long-term asset maintenance? Plan, schedule, and coordinate asset maintenance, shutdowns, and performance improvements in this dynamic Maintenance Planner role.

Join our dynamic Maintenance team as a Maintenance Planner where you will play a vital role optimising site efficiency and safety.  Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating routine maintenance and major shutdowns, whilst working closely with internal teams and external contractors. As a Maintenance Planner, you’ll be at the core of our operations, directly impacting our ability to deliver operational results safely and reliably. Your expertise and efforts will ensure we minimise downtime, optimise processes, and maintain the highest standards of performance for our customers. 

Key Accountabilities will include but are not limited to

  • Developing and maintaining detailed maintenance schedules for mechanical systems and equipment
  • Delivering scheduled activities in accordance with agreed plans for online and offline activities
  • Coordinating and delivering shutdowns including setup, compliance, commissioning and hand back.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including operations and engineering, to align on priorities and ensure thorough planning of the technical requirements for each job
  • Ensuring resources required to deliver the maintenance plan are available to prevent delay or rescheduling
  • Providing site supervision to internal and external workgroups ensuring compliance with standards and timelines
  • Monitoring and adjusting plans as required in consultation with logistics to minimise operational impacts
  • Monitoring and analysing equipment performance data to optimize maintenance strategies
  • Ensuring all work is planned and executed following safety and regulatory requirements.

To thrive in this role, candidates would have the following education and experience: 

  • Proven experience in a similar role and relevant tertiary qualification (Mechanical)
  • Prior experience in mining or heavy engineering construction is highly desirable
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and influence effectively across various levels of the organisation
  • Skilled in the use of computer systems, including data management tools and software
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, recommend improvements, and lead change initiatives as part of a continuous improvement culture.
