NCIG releases 2025 Sustainability Report

Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group (NCIG) has released its 2025 Sustainability Report, outlining our achievements across the year and reinforcing our commitment to operating responsibly, sustainably and with long-term value in mind.  

The 2025 report demonstrates how we continue to deliver exceptional outcomes for our customers through collaboration, innovation and robust risk management. Our FY25 results reflect the strength and resilience of our business as we make steady progress towards our goal of achieving net zero operational emissions (Scopes 1 and 2) by 2030. 

Structured around our key focus areas – our people and culture, plant, environment, community, stakeholders and customers – the report highlights both the challenges faced and our achievements during the year to 30 June 2025, including: 

  • 48.8 Mt of coal loaded 
  • 558 ships loaded 
  • 2,165 days Lost Time Injury free 
  • 32% operational vehicle fleet electrified 
  • 87% customer satisfaction score 
  • 3 Safety Excellence Awards 
  • 85% local economic spend 
  • $400,000 invested in community initiatives across 68 community groups.
