Stephen Cantwell has been appointed as Independent Chairman of the Board of Directors for Newcastle Coal Infrastructure Group.
Stephen succeeds Phil Garling, who served as Chairman for seven years and led NCIG through significant milestones in infrastructure development approvals, sustainability, and modernising operations. He has over 40 years’ experience in a broad range of strategic, functional and customer facing roles with major national and international businesses in the transport, logistics and manufacturing sectors.
Stephen’s extensive experience is backed by a strong commercial acumen. He has a proven track record of delivering results and driving strategic initiatives that align with sustainability goals, operational excellence, and long-term growth.
His extensive experience in leadership roles positions him to guide NCIG through the evolving landscape of the global energy market and achieve our vision of being the benchmark terminal delivering export services to the world.
