NCIG has announced to their customers the reinstatement of their damaged shiploader back into full operations is estimated to take place in mid-late Q3 2021. This timing has been brought forward from early Q4.

NCIG’s shiploader 2 was damaged in a storm event which passed through Newcastle in November last year, causing significant damage to its structure.

NCIG CEO Aaron Johansen said this positive news comes thanks to the support of NCIG’s shareholders and the efforts of NCIG’s recovery teams.

“Our shiploader 2 recovery team has worked around the clock to repair critical path components and has managed all controllable risks well. The team worked hard to source long-lead items early and from local suppliers, rather than overseas, which allowed for staggered deliveries of primary components and contributed positively to the recovery schedule.

“We appreciate the support and understanding of our customers and shareholders who have been impacted by this outage,” Mr Johansen said.

NCIG’s operations team will continue to work with customers to ensure a seamless transition back to full operations.
