Michael has over 20 years’ experience in the mining, infrastructure and consulting sectors. He joined the NCIG Board of Directors in September 2021 and is currently the Executive General Manager, Projects and Strategy for Centennial Coal.
With Engineering qualifications and an MBA, Michael has a proven track record of leading complex strategic and optimisation projects that improve operational efficiency and performance outcomes.
Michael also brings to NCIG an intimate knowledge of the site, having worked for a principal contractor as their Area Manager during the construction of the third ship berth from 2011 to 2013, and previously as the team leader responsible for all activities – from safety, quality, schedule, and budget through to design, handover and performance testing of NCIG’s four stacker reclaimers and two shiploaders from 2007 to 2012.
